Man accused of assault of child still at large

CASTANEA -- Jimmy "Hank" Carlton Henry remains at large in connection to an arrest warrant issues Aug. 15 on criminal charges related to the sexual assault of a minor child. According to Crimewatch, Clinton County authorities have now classified Henry as a Fugitive from Justice and enlisted the help of multiple nationwide fugitive task forces to locate him. Henry fled his last known address and deactivated his cell phone, according to police. Winter Storm Warning

The National Weather Service's Winter Storm Warning for our region is effective through 5 p.m. Saturday. Forecasters predict 5 to 7 inches of snow in Clinton County, perhaps more on mountaintops, and is advising people to not travel Saturday. The snow will be heavy, the NWS said, and wind gusts of up to 45 mph can be expected at the height of and following the storm. "Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The West Branch of the Susquehanna River at Lock Haven is forecast to crest at 17.6 feet overnight Friday into Saturday. That is high enough to trigger some movement of assets off river lots and properties along the waterway. Clinton County Government offices to open at noon due to weather

LOCK HAVEN - All Clinton County Government offices will be closed until Noon today due to unsafe road conditions. Chief Clerk Jann Meyers issued the following statement: "The Commissioners checked conditions this morning and have announced that County Offices will be closed until noon today to give the Maintenance Department a chance to clear the lots and sidewalks. Employees who are able should work remotely this morning. Stay safe."

Shooting near Jersey Shore; one in custody

JERSEY SHORE – Less than an hour after a man was shot and critically wounded Friday afternoon on Vilas Drive, just north of the Thomas Street interchange, the suspected gunman was reportedly in custody, according to reports from the scene. It was reported that the victim may have suffered as many as five gunshot wounds, including two to an upper shoulder.
