Clinton unchanged; Centre up 30 new COVID-19 cases

No new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Clinton County and Centre saw another increase on Friday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Since the outbreak first began there have been 185 total cases of COVID-19 in Clinton County. Centre County saw an increase of 30 cases, a significant decrease from the 92 that were reported yesterday. The current total stands at 1,630 cases throughout the county, the department said. County distributes $3.4 million to local agencies, businesses

The Clinton County commissioners this morning announced the nearly 100 local organizations and businesses that will receive money through the $3.4 million CARES Act County Relief Grant Program. A breakdown by category shows how the money will be distributed - Non-profit, $276,334; First Responders, $285,000; Behavioral Health, $168,200; Small Business, $488,458; Tourism, $217,807; Municipalities, $457,006, and County Departments, $1,463,807. Nine new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Clinton County and Centre saw an increase in new cases on Thursday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Since the outbreak first began there have been 195 total cases of COVID-19 in the county. Centre County saw an increase of 92 cases, an increase from the 59 that were reported yesterday. Bloomsburg added to LHU, Mansfield integration

LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven University has issued a press release stating that Bloomsburg University will be joining Lock Haven University and Mansfield University in the potential integration plan as the state higher education system continues to consolidate. No new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Clinton County and Centre saw a significant decrease in new cases on Wednesday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Since the outbreak first began there have been 176 total cases of COVID-19 in Clinton County, the department of health reported. UPMC Lock Haven closed until further notice

LOCK HAVEN - UPMC Lock Haven Hospital is closed until further notice according UPMC officials. "Smoke was detected in the tunnel below UPMC Lock Haven at approximately 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10 and at 9 p.m., fire was detected in the same area. All patients within the hospital were safely evacuated and transferred to other UPMC facilities. No patients or staff were injured during the incident.
