UNIVERSITY PARK – Head Coach Mike Rhoades has announced the signing of veteran guard Jay Rodgers ahead of the 2026-27 Penn State men’s basketball season. Rodgers, who spent the last four seasons at Central Connecticut State, comes to Happy Valley for his final year of eligibility. Rodgers has been a veteran playmaker through the last four seasons at Central Connecticut State. He’s coming off a senior season in 2025-26 in which he averaged 11.0 points per game and 6.9 assists per contest, a mark that ranked eighth-best in Division I. After dropping their second game of the season, Bucktail softball needed just 24 hours to get back into the win column, posting a dominant 19-0 performance on the road at Benton. Eva Sockman went 4-for-4 and added 4 RBIs while Carrie Ditty and Kelsie Wagner held Benton to just one hit in a combined effort from the mound, with Ditty striking out six. The win moves the Bucks to 5-2, and they will finally return home on Monday when they host Sugar Valley Rural Charter School. LOCK HAVEN - Behind a dominant performance from Makayla Kelly, the Lock Haven lacrosse team handed No. 22 Seton Hill a 13-6 defeat Wednesday afternoon at Charlotte Smith Field. Lock Haven secured its third straight game to improve to 8-5 overall and 4-3 in the PSAC, moving into a tie for third in the Western Division. Seton Hill falls to 8-5 on the season and 5-2 in the conference. Peck gets by Smith to win 410 sprints at Williams Grove

It was a big race weekend for central Pennsylvania with PA Posse and multiple others in action.  On Friday night Justin Peck got by Ryan Smith with a late race pass and went on to win the 25-lap feature for 410 sprint cars at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday night. The victory was the third of Peck’s career at the track and was worth $5,000. In the 25-lap event for 358 sprints, Derek Locke took the lead from Cole Young for the victory.
