Two test positive for COVID-19 at LHU

LOCK HAVEN - Two positive cases of coronavirus were confirmed today at Lock Haven University. Last Thursday the university began testing students and staff as they arrived at the university for the fall semester, which officially began Monday. On Monday, LHU President Dr. Robert Pignatello reported 600 staff and students had been tested so far and the results were back for about 266... and they were all negative. Clinton unchanged; Centre adds 2 cases of COVID-19

No new cases of COVID-19 were added in Clinton County on Wednesday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Since the outbreak first began there have been 130 total cases of COVID-19 in the county. Of those 115 are confirmed and 15 are probable. So far 3,282 people have tested negative to the virus. Wolf asks lawmakers to legalize pot, spend virus funds

Tom Wolf on Tuesday asked lawmakers to send him a bill to legalize the recreational use of marijuana, and outlined how he thinks the state should spend more than $1.3 billion left in federal coronavirus relief funds during what's left of lawmakers' two-year session. LOCK HAVEN - A state police fire marshal has ruled the cause of a severe house fire Wednesday morning electrical in nature, according to property owner Fred Lingle. Lingle said Trooper Ben Campana met with the insurance adjuster and himself on Thursday and determined the fire started near the stove in the kitchen. Although the house was unoccupied, Lingle said the loss is significant, as he and his wife had just recently moved into the house next door, leaving behind a great amount of furnishings and other items. No new COVID-19 cases in Clinton County

No new cases of COVID-19 were added in Clinton County on Friday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Since the outbreak first began there have been 129 total cases of COVID-19 in the county. Of those 114 are confirmed and 15 are probable. So far 3,018 people have tested negative to the virus. Centre County increased by three cases with 365 confirmed and 45 probable, the department said. HARRISBURG - Clinton County is among 16 counties placed in a drought watch by the Department of Environmental Protection Friday. After a meeting of the Commonwealth Drought Task Force, DEP declared a drought watch for: Armstrong, Blair, Butler, Cambria, Cameron, Centre, Clearfield, Clinton, Fayette, Huntingdon, Indiana, Juniata, McKean, Mifflin, Perry, and Potter.
