How good to hear that River Valley Transit has found a way to fund weekend public bus service. Yesterday and today, RVT restarted Friday-and-Saturday-only bus routes to Clinton County for free. Next Friday and Saturday, the standard fees will kick in. RVT is paying for the service that was formerly seven days and was paid for through a three-year trial program via a PennDOT Intermodal grant and various stakeholders, including Clinton County, the city, Lock Haven University and some business and industries. We offer heartfelt praise and prayers to Bucktail Medical Center in rural western Clinton County, where the National Guard has come to help fight COVID-19. Of the 24 infected Bucktail residents, three have died due to COVID-19 related complications, its CEO said. In addition to the residents, 17 staff members tested positive.
