Alzheimer’s Support Group to meet March 10

LOCK HAVEN — The Alzheimer’s and Caregivers’ Support Group will meet Tuesday, March 10, from 7 to 8 p.m., at Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven. There is convenient parking next to the church and a handicapped accessible entrance. The meeting will be a time of sharing concerns about caring for a loved one with a memory loss and to provide educational materials from the Alzheimer’s Association, co-sponsors of the support group in conjunction with Covenant United Methodist Church. CPI received $250,000 investment for apprenticeships

PLEASANT GAP — The Central Pennsylvania Institute of Science and Technology (CPI) has been awarded a $250,000 PA Department of Labor & Industry “Schools-to-Work” grant. Grant funds will be utilized to develop a pre-apprenticeship in automation and instrumentation linked to a registered apprenticeship in Mechatronics. Both the pre and registered apprenticeships will be operated by CPI.
