Bad check LOCK HAVEN — Celeste Champagne, 39, of Lock Haven, was charged with writing a bad check worth $80 to a Riverfest vendor on June 26, according to Woodward Township Police. After the check was returned for lack of funds, the jewelry vendor contacted Champagne, who failed to write a valid check, police said. Hit and run MILESBURG — State police responded to a crash that occurred on Oct. 6, at approximately 1:10 p.m., on I-80 westbound near mile marker 154 in Boggs Township, according to state police at Rockview. At the time of the accident, an unnamed driver was attempting to pass a 1998 International Harvester, driven by Danny I. Muthler, 64, of Mill Hall, in the left lane when they failed to complete the pass and collided with Muthler, police said. LH man could face charges for multiple thefts at Lowes

MILL HALL — A 32-year-old Lock Haven man could face charges regarding retail theft and shop lifting following a string of incidents from August into September at Lowes along Hogan Boulevard, Bald Eagle Township. According to state police at Rockview, Bradley Sellinger is accused of allegedly committing the thefts between Aug. 22 and Sept. 29, stealing $498.50 worth of merchandise. Known mechanical problems cause accident, I-80 jam MILESBURG — Bayram Juraev, 24, of Brooklyn, N.Y., was charged with unlawfully operating unsafe equipment after known mechanical issues with his 2021 Mack truck led to a crash, according to state police at Rockview. The accident, which caused hours-long traffic delays on Interstate 80 westbound, occurred when Juraev lost control of the truck, it struck a guardrail and overturned onto its passenger side down an embankment, police said.
