Pa. state police still mum on why a trooper wounded a driver after pursuit ended

LOCK HAVEN — It has been a month since state police wounded a Williamsport man following a pursuit that ended in eastern Clinton County, but the reason for the shooting still has not been disclosed. Jordan Joseph Lantz, 36, was held for court Monday, but none of his charges provide an insight into why he was shot. Feds seek forfeiture of $110K in reputed drug money without filing any charges

WILLIAMSPORT — The U.S. attorney’s office is seeking forfeiture of $110,000 discovered last November during a state police traffic stop on westbound Interstate 80 in eastern Clinton County. The basis for the forfeiture, according to a document filed Wednesday in U.S. Middle District Court, is the allegation that the currency was intended to be used to facilitate a violation of the Controlled Substances Act. Emergency responders called to vehicle fire in Wayne Township

PHOTO PROVIDED At approximately 10:32 a.m., emergency units were dispatched to a vehicle fire in the parking lot of the Restless Oaks Restaurant in Wayne Township. Upon arrival, crews found a vehicle fully engulfed in flames. The vehicle was not obstructing other cars or nearby structures. Small popping sounds were observed as the fire intensified.
