Sheriff’s Office warns of scam

LOCK HAVEN — The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office has issued a warning to area residents of a scam taking place in and around Clinton County. Sheriff Kerry Stover shared in a statement on Facebook that a fraudster, claiming to be a “deputy” or “officer” with the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, has been demanding money to remove victims from a “Jail Pick-Up List” for failure to attend jury selection. DUI crash LOGANTON — Neither driver was injured in a two vehicle crash along West Valley Road on Jan. 3, state police at Lamar said. At 7:49 p.m., Aaron D. Harbach, 26, of Loganton, was traveling north in the roadway when his 2012 Chevrolet Silverado was struck from behind by a 2021 Ford Ranger, driven by Larry E. McCloskey, 65, of Loganton, who was traveling behind him, police said. Head on collision FLEMINGTON — No injuries were reported in a head-on collision along Woods Avenue, Flemington Borough, on Dec. 21, 2024, state police at Lamar said. At 11:59 a.m., Sandra J. Yost, 82, of Lock Haven, was traveling west on the roadway when her 2021 Subaru Outback drifted into the opposite lane of travel, where it struck a 2011 Chrysler 200, driven by David R. DUI crash RENOVO — The driver of a 2015 Ford could face driving under the influence charges following a crash near the intersection of Tamarack and Stoney Run roads, Noyes Township, state police at Lamar said. The accident occurred on Nov. 24, 2024 at around 8:15 p.m. where the operator, name not listed, was transported to UPMC Williamsport to be treated for her injuries, police said.
