Regatta Fireworks moved to Monday night

LOCK HAVEN - Due to an expected band of showers Sunday night and a low cloud ceiling, the Lock Haven Area Jaycees have moved the fireworks display along the West Branch of the Susquehanna River to Monday night at 9 p.m., Regatta chairperson DuWayne Kunes announced. The display was to go off at 10:30 Sunday night amid the 50th Labor Day Regatta. Tom Wolf was set to announce Tuesday, reversing course amid a statewide COVID-19 resurgence that is filling hospital beds just as students return to class. Changes have been made to the Pedestrian Mall's schedule, leaving only two more street closures ä Aug. 27, 28 and Sept. 10, 11. INCA concert moved to Riverview Park Saturday

LOCKPORT — The Summer Concert Series feature band this weekend, Inca Band, will play Saturday at 6:30 p.m., in Riverview Park along Farrandsville Road in Woodward Township as the last concert on/at the river this summer as part of the series. High water from recent rain has made the floating stage at Corman Amphitheatre inaccessible and the township has graciously agreed to allow the band to play at the park, said Kasey Campbell, who coordinates the series. Outage affects Piper Building, commissioners meeting held outside

LOCK HAVEN - The commissioners' voting session wasn't the biggest news to come out of the Piper Building Thursday morning. County workers were sent home as they arrived Thursday due to a power outage at the building located along Piper Way in Lock Haven. No other buildings were effected by the outage. Chairman Miles Kessinger said the power had been out since Wednesday evening at about 5:50 p.m. with the backup generator working to keep the county servers up and running.
