City to hold comprehensive plan workshop tonight

LOCK HAVEN - City staff will be on-hand tonight from 4 to 6 p.m. at Hangar 1 of the William T. Piper Memorial Airport, 353 Proctor St., Lock Haven, to hear from members of the community about its 2020 comprehensive plan update "Destination Lock Haven." Human remains positively identified as Alex Mardis

LOCK HAVEN - It's official. The human remains recovered along the Susquehanna River in Pine Creek Township on July 2, have been positively identified as those of Alex F. Mardis, a 31-year-old local man who disappeared Oct. 30, 2019, according to a press release from the office of Clinton County Coroner Zach Hanna. An investigation by state police at Lamar began shortly after Mardis was reported missing in October 2019. He was last seen on Oct. 30, 2019, fishing in the Susquehanna River in Wayne Township. Clinton up 7; Centre adds 45 COVID-19 cases over weekend

Over the weekend seven new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Clinton County and Centre saw an increase of 45 cases on Monday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Since the outbreak first began there have been 284 total cases of COVID-19 in Clinton County. Centre's current total stands at 4,317 cases throughout the county, the department said. Lycoming County added 19 new cases over the weekend bringing the total to 1,014, the department of health said.
