Jersey Shore’s Fisher takes seventh at MyHOUSE Trojan Wars

In the 121 bracket, Jersey Shore’s Gabriel Fisher was a seventh-place finisher thanks to a fall over Shikellym’s Bobby Felmy in 3:32 in the final at the MyHOUSE Trojan Wars in Chambersburg. On Saturday, Fisher came one bout shy of reaching the championship semifinals after a tough third-period fall to Delaware Military Academy’s Cole Perrin in 5:01. Fisher earned a 17-1 tech fall over Muhlenberg’s Jaxon Ramich before pinning Bobby Felmy of Shikellamy in 2:27.

Fisher was Jersey Shore’s only wrestler to reach the championship quarterfinals as a number of others competed but didn’t get as far in the championship bracket. Jersey Shore has a number of wrestlers who dropped into the consolations.

Jersey Shore’s Travis Merrill lost in the first round by fall at 107 to Avon Grove’s Jackson Hood in 29 seconds.

Jersey Shore’s Draylen Phillips lost in the first round at 127 as he lost via tech fall to Pittston’s Jahiem Butler, 17-2. At 133, Dylan Hensler of Jersey Shore lost against Andrew Wang of Radnor by fall in 1:37.

At 152, Jersey Shore’s Louden Spotts had a second-round loss to Selinsgrove’s Gabe Paradis, 6-5 TB-1, to drop into the consolation bracket.

The Bulldogs’ Tobias Morgret earned a 10-0 major win against Southern’s Talon Piatt in the first round of the 160 bracket, but Morgret was then beaten by Penn Manor’s Ben Paterson by decision, 7-0, to fall into the consolations.

At 189, Jersey Shore’s Riley Kanaski fell into the consolations after a first-round loss to Brayden Ranatuo of Salesianum via fall in 1:11. Jersey Shore’s Bo Sechrist lost in the first round at 215 to Avon Grove’s Wyatt Holdren by fall in 2:49 to fall into the consolation bracket.

At 285, Jersey Shore’s Garrett Barner lost to Adian Hernandez of Avon Grove in the first round by fall in 2:54.
