Simple assault LOCK HAVEN — A 34-year-old man was arrested for simple assault following an incident on April 7 along North Grove Street, Lock Haven City Police said. At about 11:50 p.m., Zach Nagel, of Gallitzin, struck a victim in the head and body multiple times, causing them to fall to the ground while he continued to strike them, police said. The victim suffered a large laceration to their head which required stitches, police said. Police: Wrong-way driver admits to drinking before fatal crash on 220

LOCK HAVEN — The Clinton County motorist accused of killing a father and his unborn child in a wrong-way driving accident had a blood alcohol level more than two times the legal limit. That information and an admission by Dwight L. Meyer that he chose to drive the wrong way on Route 220 in the Lock Haven area instead of pulling onto the shoulder is contained in a state police affidavit made available Monday.
