City to increase nonunion employee pay by 1.9 percent in 2021

LOCK HAVEN - Lock Haven City Council approved a 1.9 percent wage increase for the city’s nonunion employees for 2021 Monday night. City Manager Gregory Wilson said the percentage equals the average Social Security Cost-of-Living increase for 2019, 2020 and 2021. “This is not a number pulled out of a hat,” Wilson said. Human remains positively identified as Alex Mardis

LOCK HAVEN - It's official. The human remains recovered along the Susquehanna River in Pine Creek Township on July 2, have been positively identified as those of Alex F. Mardis, a 31-year-old local man who disappeared Oct. 30, 2019, according to a press release from the office of Clinton County Coroner Zach Hanna. An investigation by state police at Lamar began shortly after Mardis was reported missing in October 2019. He was last seen on Oct. 30, 2019, fishing in the Susquehanna River in Wayne Township.
