BEA’s Tanner Guenot takes second at MyHOUSE Trojan Wars

Bald Eagle Area’s Tanner Guenot took home a second-place medal after falling in the 139-pound championship finals on Sunday at the MyHOUSE Trojan Wars in Chambersburg as Bald Eagle Area had a number of wrestlers compete and have success.

Guenot was pinned by Easton’s Noah Fenner in the final in 1:11. Guenot was a championship semifinalist after dominating his way to the semifinals. Guenot, the top seed at 139, had a first-round bye before beating West Chester Rustin’s Max Kubatka with a fall in 2:41. Guenot followed up with a 44 second pin against Biglerville’s Cristian Marquez in the third round. In the quarterfinals, Guenot earned a 20-5, 5:38 tech fall win against Jacob Lauby of James W. Robinson, Virginia.

Bald Eagle Area’s Caden Judice ended his run with a sixth-place medal after he lost by medical forfeit to Jackson Lininger of Northern York at 152.

Judice reached the semifinals on the bottom side of the bracket at 152. The Bald Eagle standout had a first-round bye before picking up a 16-0, 4:10 tech fall dominant win against Bangor Area’s Eziah Cartagena. Judice then majored Belle Vernon’s Vander Raczkowski, 15-2, to advance to the quarterfinals. In the quarterfinals, Judice out-worked West Chester Rustin’s Colin Baldesari for a tight 4-1 decision win.

Bald Eagle Area’s Dawson Lomison took eighth after he lost via disqualification in the seventh-place finals to Northeastern’s Eric Orpin at 145. Lomison fell to the consolation bracket at 145 after falling in championship quarterfinals to Easton’s Ethan Kratzer by major decision, 11-2. Lomison had a 16-1, 2:31 tech fall win over Belle Vernon’s Eric Granato in the second round before another tech fall — this time 17-2, 5:24 — against St. Mary Ryken High School’s Cam Jefferson.

At 285 pounds, Bald Eagle Area’s Gaige Gardner was the top seed in the field and received two byes. In the third round, Gardner pinned Downingtown West’s Ryder Harlan in 1:10 before falling to Warrior Run’s Noah Johnson. Gardner didn’t advance in the consolations, however, to medal.
