LOCK HAVEN — The Clinton County Department of Emergency Services announced UPMC Lock Haven’s Emergency Room reopened Wednesday morning following a reported structure fire on Tuesday night.
Emergency crews responded Tuesday evening to the reported structure fire at the UPMC Lock Haven Outpatient Services building, 24 Cree Drive in Lock Haven.
According to a statement provided by a UPMC spokesperson, the fire was detected in an HVAC unit located on the roof of the facility, which houses the UPMC Outpatient Emergency Department and several outpatient services.
The fire was successfully extinguished by responding crews.
As a precautionary measure, the Emergency Department was evacuated and temporarily closed while the building owner, Allaire Health Services, assessed the facility for damage.

UPMC confirmed that four patients receiving care at the time of the incident were safely discharged or transferred. All staff members were also reported safe.
Local EMS units remained on standby at the facility throughout the closure to assist anyone arriving in need of emergency medical care.
UPMC has announced the outpatient emergency department would reopen at 7 a.m. on Wednesday.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
