Covenant Cafe to celebrate the 1960s on June 2

LOCK HAVEN — The Covenant Cafe, an activity group for those in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias, will be meeting on Tuesday, June 2, from 1-3 p.m., at Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven. The group will be celebrating the “Sixties” with a variety of 1960’s themed activities including a “Walk Down Memory Lane” with a display of artifacts from that era, music and dances from the decade, a tie dyed craft, 60s trivia and reminiscing and even 60’s Bingo. Northeast Fishery Center to hold annual Catch-And-Release event May 30

LAMAR — The Northeast Fishery Center will hold its annual Catch-And-Release event on Saturday, May 30. The event is for children ages 12 and under and will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 308 Washington Ave., Lamar. Kids can try fishing with the help of friendly staff and volunteers, view electro-fishing demonstrations and create fish-print art. The event is great for beginners and families, with a parent or guardian expected to accompany their children. Fishing gear and bait are provided. For more information, call 272-867-0893.
