One injury reported in two vehicle crash in downtown Lock Haven

LOCK HAVEN — A section of East Main Street in downtown Lock Haven was temporarily closed Thursday afternoon due to a two-vehicle accident causing suspected injuries and obstructing traffic.
Around 2 p.m., a white Chevrolet Colorado collided with a black GMC Denali at the intersection of North Vesper and East Main streets in a possible merging accident, according to witnesses at the scene.
Traffic was briefly rerouted up North Vesper to Water Street
The Chevrolet’s airbags deployed, and a suspected passenger was taken from the scene by Lock Haven EMS.
The orientation of the vehicles and witness accounts indicate the Chevrolet may have improperly merged into the left lane of traffic while turning right at the intersection.
The Chevrolet sustained damage to the front driver side door and the Denali to the front passenger tire and bumper.
According to one person at the scene, a man allegedly fled on foot following the accident, although this could not be confirmed.
On the scene were Lock Haven EMS, the City of Lock Haven Fire Department and state and local police.
Police declined to comment on the nature of the incident.
